Dear Friends
I am Fr. Varghese Alumkal, Vicar of Parelpally Kurumulloor.
Greetings from Parelpally. Hope you and your family keep well. Praying for the same.
This note is written specially to convey you a matter regarding one of the decisions taken by the church committee.
I presume that you might have heard of the Calcutta hospital accident in which one of our parishioners and native of this place Miss. Vineetha died. The death was not really an accident but it was a martyrdom spontaneously taken by her. She was working in the hospital when the accident took place. She could have escaped very easily from the hospital, as she carried three of the patients to life. Thrice she came to the basement carrying patients. The fourth time when she went above to help a patient, the electricity failed and she lost the way and was choked to death.
The state government gave her a state honour at the time of burial. The government also recommended her name for the national award for bravery.
The Times of India declared her as the 'Kerlalbhiman' recently.

Miss vineetha is an outstanding model for the nursing students and also to the church. Her name and her brave actions should be remembered for ever. Hence we have planned to begin an endowment in her name. The endowment would be given to one of the native nursing students, every year, without considering the caste and creed.
Hence I request you to donate a sum that would help the endowment to look rich.
Thanking you in anticipation
Your's faithfully
Fr. Varghese Alumkal
